The Buarbreen hikes last approximately for 3-hours, however the hike up to the glacier and back down to the parking area is also about a 3-hour round trip. So make sure to allow for a 7-hour expedition. After all, this is an expedition you’re unlikely to ever repeat again. A truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.

So remember to bring the essentials – gloves; warm, wind, waterproof clothing; solid shoes (trekking boots or sport shoes); sunglasses; packed lunch; and whatever else you feel you might need.
